Take the family to Nicco Park for a day of fun and adventure. This amusement park’s 40 acres (16 hectares) encompass more than 30 attractions, including water chutes, coasters, carousels and a boating lake.
Climb aboard a paddle wheel boat for a voyage into the darker recesses of the river cave. This ride takes you on a journey through a dark, cavernous space, past dinosaurs, a dungeon, graveyard and jungle. Take a ride on the Cyclone roller coaster and scream as it twists and turns you at high speed along its 2,460-feet (750-metre) long track. Swing through the air on the Pirate Ship and hurtle down the three water slides. For some laid-back entertainment, rent a boat and glide across the boating lake.
If you want more water-based fun, visit the 5-acre (2.2-hectare) Wet-o-Wild water park within Nicco’s grounds. You will need to pay a supplementary admission fee to experience its lazy river, water chutes and wave pool.
Back in the main section of the park, very young children can enjoy a number of gentle rides including a family carousel, mini roller coaster and a train ride through the grounds. There is also a children’s playground.
During the winter, throw snowballs and slide down ice chutes at Iceland, an indoor snow and ice attraction.
When it’s time to eat, visit one of the fast food kiosks or head to the food court with restaurants that serve a range of international cuisines. Visitors are not permitted to bring food into the park.
Nicco Park’s thrill rides and attractions can be enjoyed every day of the year except during Holi, a Hindu spring festival that takes place around March. For up-to-date information on prices and ticket packages, visit the park’s official website.
