"Myself, my 11 year old and our young dog spent our October half term on the farm and had a very lovely and relaxing stay. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they respected our privacy and didn't mind that our dog was a bit excited by all the farm animals (all of whom had loads of character!) The night sky was beautiful although we only got one clear night to have a quick look at the stars - I'm sure it's absolutely breathtaking in the summer! The cottage was very clean and well...

"A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. Will consider a revisit in warmer weather if we need a place to stay in the area in the future."

"My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money. It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. "We went out of season for a little break, & this was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble & the owners were so so lovely, friendly & very helpful. The warm & cosy little cottage was decorated beautifully & had everything you needed. (Plus a hot tub outside!) All in all a truly wonderful experience - our dog loved it too!!"

"Stayed here a few times in different rooms. This one was different again. Set up in a type of annex little cottage external at the side of the hotel. Didn’t know what to expect but pleasantly surprised. Lovey warm and spacious double room and on suite. Like a little one bed cottage. Road noise wasn’t too bad seeming the lane was close to the main road. Warm and secure all amenities there. Nice little hotel and always happy here. Breakfast had changed to between 0730-0830. "This was our second stay and reminded us why we loved it the first time. The house is comfortable, the room spacious and the decor tasteful. We slept well on a comfortable bed and all the usuals in terms of tea and coffee were there along with a nice sized fridge if you wanted to put the champagne on ice.
