I did not like leaving the Blue Inn. It is so peaceful, quaint and comfortable. breakfast is so classy, and the beach was right outside our room doors. Staff was attentive, warm and professional. The stay was therapeutic to the soul and the beachfront room...breathtaking. I won't tell anyone about this place because then they will tell their friends and so on. The Blue Inn is my oasis destination moving forward.

The rooms' doors do not have deadbolts for security. Without the deadbolt, a wrong key could be given out, and another guest could easily walk into your room. The fireplace screen was filthy to the point that you could barely see the fire. The outdoor fire pit has been inoperable since spring, based on the weeds growing in it.

We only spent one night but it was so nice. It’s a great location right on the beach. Our room was very clean and beautiful. The bed was super comfy!! I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Nice ocean view . Loved the gas fireplace. Room was spacious. The picnic basket breakfast was a nice touch! Mattress needs an update other than that our stay was wonderful!

This has been one of the best, most relaxing vacations I have had. This beautiful inn is right on the beach!!! You walk out onto your patio, and then it's sand and ocean. It is quiet and all you hear are the waves crashing on the shore. You receive a wonderful breakfast every morning with quiche, muffins, fresh orange juice, a smoothie and a carafe of coffee, delivered to your room in a little picnic basket, at a time that you desire. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully appointed, and look out on the beautiful beach. The staff was gracious and wonderful. Even the late check-in process was easy. We were very sad to leave this morning, but we have out this place on our annual list, 9n our trip to Massachusetts. Do not hesitate to stay here. You will get addicted!!

The room amenities were really pretty outstanding. We were there on a cold and rainy week so ended up, appreciating the fireplace and the corner view of the ocean in suite 12. So close to ocean, really nice balcony.

The view is amazing, we stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary and Loved it! Our only suggestion would be to provide a corkscrew in the kitchenette and a few blankets for sitting outside on the deck at night. The staff are wonderful!

The pictures are a bit deceiving. The property is tightly packed in with other residences on the beach. And it's expensive for what it offers. The lock on the door was v basic--nothing like enough. The room could accessed by 2 different sets of stairs. That said: The room was nice. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was healthy and fun. Plum Island nature preserve is right there. Newburyport has a lot of great dining options--just 10 mins away.
