"Our experience was nothing short of breathtaking. From the first look at the gorgeous views to the immaculate but comfortable rooms to the warm and friendly staff, we were in paradise. They took care of our every need. The restaurant was delicious and the presentation beautiful. We loved the unique breakfast board of local favorites. The location felt secluded, though we were close enough to local beaches and towns to have outings. Overall, we would highly recommend our stay at Akre to anyone...

"The beach and restaurant were great but very disappointed with the room. Not at all like the photos, very tired needs upgrading. Definitely not 5 star. Bathroom really needs to be updated, smell of sewage was constant. Air conditioning didn’t work well either. "

"The hotel itself is very good. Staff are great. Buffet breakfast plentiful. Shuttle to the beach is convenient every hour as too far to walk in the hot sun. The charge for beach chairs and umbrella is cheaper than other spots. The beach is very nice. No rocks or seaweed. Nothing around the hotel so taking taxis gets expensive though if you catch the last shuttle the driver will drop you off at the small town which is very nice and you can catch a bus into the port area. The pools are great but close at 8 pm. There was always a breeze which makes this island a favourite."
