"Very cute rooms, the beds were private and spacious, bedding was very warm and comfortable (slept amazingly). I didn't get back in time for dinner but the udon for breakfast on the first morning was fantastic and I was serenaded by a lovely man playing Ghibli music and the beatles on a ukulele as I ate my cheesy bread on the second morning. "I stayed in Traditional Apartment - Hostel for 2 days in April 2017. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. In addition to introducing the hostel's facilities, they also gave me detailed advice on the popular tourist attractions of Takamatsu city and the schedule of shuttle buses to Takamatsu airport. I booked a bed space in one of the hostel's dormitories and it was both tidy and comfortable. There were a kitchen and a washing machine for my dorm. The only drawback was that...

"One night staying at this hostel, it is so nice to have a private space in a wooden box with a lockable door. The room is quiet that I can have a quality sleep. The bed is comfortable. It is so close to the tram station and the bicycle rental. What can you ask for more?"

"I really enjoyed my time at Kakure-Yado Yuji-inn - Hostel. The staff is really like a family and they are really inviting. Like my title says, the hostel is very close to Kurashiki - So the Ohara Art Museum, Kurahsiki Ivy Square, etc. I will say that the hostel is actually in a narrow alley. But the area is super safe, so I wouldn't worry too much about it! (This is more so a heads up when you're looking for it for the first time.) But yeah - A great hostel; I would certainly recommend it."

"Great hotel right in the middle of the shopping and dining streets, in between the main station and Ritsurin Gardens. Rooms were clean, quiet and modern, but the lobby smelled a bit from the indoor smoking area."

"Great location. It's only a 7-10 min walk from train station. Tip: Exit main gate and then take escalator on the right to underground shopping area, walk straight down past Starbucks then take escalator or elevator (you will come out on the other side of the bus station). Then walk up that street about 300m to the hotel. The room was clean and very spacious. There is a convenience store attached to side of hotel and 2 Shopping centres within 5- 10 min walk. Matsuya and Yoshinoya restaurants (cheap) 3-5 min walk. The staff were really friendly and helpful. This hotel offers late check out at a cost of 1600 yen for 2 people per extra hour up until 3pm. Luggage storage is also available. It was a very enjoyable stay. I recommend this hotel :)"
