Bon séjour

Bon séjour d’une nuit à la gare aux Ânes, hôtel plutôt cosy, avec beaucoup de potentiel, très belle piscine. Nous avons bien dîné au restaurant, une étape sympathique pendant nos vacances.

Correct, sans plus.

Situation sympathique (en pleine campagne, proche de la couvertoirade, à 30 min en voiture de Navacelles). Les chambres sont d'un confort très sommaire, l'entretien n'est pas exceptionnel. Ceci dit, la nuitée n'est pas très chère, il ne faut pas s'attendre à des miracles. Dans la chambre familiale, il y a juste les lits, une minuscule sdb défraichie. Pas trop d'autre choix que de prendre le ptt déjeuner sur place, il est correct, sauf si vous arrivez trop tard et que le buffet a été vidé. L'établissement fait restaurant le midi et le soir, on mange plutôt bien, et différents menus permettent de s'adapter au budget souhaité. Pas trop d'autre choix, impossible de manger dans la chambre, sinon il faut au moins aller à la couvertoirade pour trouver un restaurant ouvert (en saison). La piscine est agréable, et le wifi fonctionne bien.

Cadre sympa , original et reposant. En revanche, le ménage n'est pas à son optimum : un plafond très haut avec des toiles d'araignées, une VMC très (trop) poussiéreuse. Petit déjeuner présenté a 5 euros pour les enfants sur le site internet mais qui nous a été facturé au prix des adultes. Accueil très simpliste. Lieu idéal pour les enfants : repas des ânes, piscine (non adapté aux petits enfants).

Chambres vétuste , mais repas délicieux

Vétuste, mais propre dans l ensemble . Pas de clim, nous avons eu pour 4 adultes une chambre dans les toits, un seul velux en guise de fenêtre et un ventilateur. Autant vous dire qu’il a fait tres chaud. Sinon accueil chaleureux et repas délicieux avec du fait maison , dont le foie gras !!!!

Top food and top service in Larzac!

We had a lovely stay in Larzac and enjoyed very much our 3 days at la gare des anes. Definitely recommend the restaurant and particularly the foie gras, as it was a culinary delight!

Trés bel endroit avec un passé nostalgique

Ce n'est pas " dans la salle d'attente de la gare de Nantes", mais bel et bien à Nant dans une des nombreuses gares désaffectées de ces dernières décennies que nous avons passé une très bonne nuit. Nous sommes arrivés en plein coup de feu le soir pendant le service à table mais la patronne a pris le temps de nous montrer la chambre et de nous apporter un convecteur pour réchauffer la pièce en attendant que le chauffage central fasse son effet. Le lendemain nous avons pu discuter pendant le petit déjeuner largement suffisant pour démarrer la journée sereinement. De plus nous avons eu des explications sur l'historique de cette gare et des environs. Il ne faudra pas oublier d'aller au moins caresser les jolis ânes et si possible leur apporte un petit quelque chose.

Way more 'rustic' than portrayed on the site.

First of, this property is NOT EVEN IN THE CITY of Saint-Jean-du-Bruel as posted. We drove back & forth on country roads for over an hour trying to find the place. It is an old wayside Roadhouse that looks like it is either in a state of construction or destruction. The room was not clean by any standards and, I'm not kidding - FULL OF FLIES. I wish I had taken a photo - dozens of flies in the bathroom, on the lights, etc. We slept in our clothes and left as soon as we woke up. The pool was green, - we did not eat there - as they did not open the restaurant until 7 - and we went 16 Km back to town to eat as we were already frustrated with this place. My only consolation during the night trying to sleep on a flat pillow was that we 'are in France' - so lesson learned. On an upside - very quiet at night.
