"Every thing about hotel was a first class experience. The room furnishings, the meals and especially the caring and competent staff. Couldn’t have been treated better if we were royalty. The lobby, the atrium where breakfast was served and the pool area were beautiful and lavishly decorated with flowers and plants. The breakfast offerings were numerous and each was delicious. Highly recommend it. "

"The interior courtyard is lovely, quiet, lots of shady spaces to relax, while still being close to the historic Centro. We had stayed in a conference hotel for a few days prior, and the change of pace to calm and privacy was very welcome, especially as they allowed us to check in early. "the staff and food is amazing, the property condition - 8 years old a little worn, but beautiful. Kind of like having your own little private getaway. Old world beauty.

"The Gran Hotel is perfectly located to walk to so many wonderful eateries and places of interest. With that comes a bit of noise, as I was in a room that faced the square. The hotel exudes old world charm. There are many interesting features, such as the wonderful marble stairs and large wood doors. My bed was a bit firm but I liked that. As the building is old there were many evident repairs but the room was clean, no dust, just a few mosquitos in the sink. The AC worked perfectly and there was great water pressure in the shower (just not warm enough for me.). The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and everyone I met in the hotel was friendly. There are several comfortable sofas and chairs grouped along the large open landings outside the rooms, to sit and talk. If, like me, you love the beauty of old world opulence then this hotel is for you."
