"Lovely building and we had a really excellent dinner - the catering team was changing so they weren't on their new menu yet so what we had was effectively a one-off. Lots of attention from the chap who was taking over the running of the kitchen. We had an automatic email from the property saying we had pre-payed but when we checked out we were told we hadn't. "I stayed here because there was a pool. When I arrived about 8 or 9pm there was a self-check-in at the gate. I was not sent a code, but a friend who spoke French called and got it for me. It was not sent through Hotels.com or by email. Without calling I would have not been able to stay here at all and would have been far from Agen with no room. "This is a family business and just starting up. As the photo shows it is a beautiful house with a great deal of care to the interior and exterior design and outside gardens. "We passed by Agen and decided to stay overnight. The property had been renovated by the current owner and host, Vincent, with tasteful decorations. He offered us excellent wine at evening hours. Without his help we would have missed our train back to Paris. A huge thank you to the host Vincent, a real hospitable host. "
