"People are lovely of course. But I could not get through to their number for an airport pickup or to arrange a late checkin, so I ended up paying for another hotel my first night. The room was basically clean, but super musty with water damage on the walls. Intense fire smoke from nearby. No AC. Bed very hard. I left the window open for ventilation and found a scorpion. Would have been understanding given the other things weren’t present. I left a day early. "

"I highly recommend this homestay. The room was clean and basic and walking distance from the main strip in Ubud. It's about 1.5 kilometers down a hill. I did not have problems walking it. I recommend that if you are walking at night to walk on Il Suetra (road that homestay is on) as opposed to the other road that is more scenic because it s not lit in certain areas. There are stretches in both roads where there are no sidewalks but I walked facing traffic and moved to the the side when cars...
