"We stayed here for two nights, before and after our Tongariro Crossing trip. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Check in and communication was straightforward. The ear plugs left on the table came in handy as the property is located next to a fairly busy road and trucks transporting cars stop and do their driver change-over next to it. Also the carpet in the room could do with a refresh as it does not smell very nice."

"Great accommodations. Near good restaurants, within driving distance from Tongariro (our reason for visiting this area), clean, comfortable beds. Only drawback is that there's only one bathroom for two couples. However, the toilet is in its own room - separate from the shower, but with a sink for hand-washing in each room. That made this facility workable for us. Highly recommend."

"We had a good stay. Like other people have mentioned, the walls are thin and you can hear people talking next door, but the room was cozy. We had a bunk bed with another single twin bed. It was unexpected that we had to book time in the hot tub and pay $5 for 30 minutes. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful and it's quiet and dark during the night."

"Accommodated 3 guys on a motorbike trip very well. Good value for money. Probably the greatest negative was having to fill the kettle from the vanity tap using a cup. So a fairly minor issue. Otherwise very happy."
