The rooms are better than the lobby - which looks horrible. No parking nearby , closest parking is about 4 blocks away so you need to drag bags. Clean. No personality whatsoever. I would stay again - because it was clean , safe and close to downtown.

The property cancelled the reservation (for 5 separate rooms) the night before our stay and they did not let us know. We showed up and they claimed they didn’t cancel anything, that Expedia had. However, after speaking with Expedia, it was clear the hotel had done it on their end. The receptionist was extremely rude and wanted to charge an extra $200 for the 2 night stay had we booked at the hotel directly. We booked through Expedia again and saved $150. The rooms are very dirty, dingy and not updated at all. What you see on their website is ONE room that’s been “upgraded” (that was actually the room I had) it was still gross. The location is its only saving grace. My friends dubbed this hotel as the sex/murder hotel. 3 out of 5 people chose to check out upon seeing the condition of their rooms. The hotel refused to refund them. Stating they had “used” the room. All they did was walk into it. Saw the state of it and decided to leave. I don’t blame them, it definitely isn’t the cleanest or most up to date hotel. The price doesn’t reflect its wear. Too expensive for what it is. There are nicer hotels in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel, and it was a decent deal for the price. However, there were a few less-than-ideal things which came up. First, they charge $4 per bag to hold your bag before or after check, which is quite ridiculous and so cheap of them. I have never stayed at a hotel that charged for this service before. Even though it is a low price, it is horrible customer service when you're already paying for your room. Next, when we came back for check-in, there was another guest loudly arguing with the front desk staff. Their first room had holes in the walls, which could give way to bed bugs or other undesirables in their room, and the second room they had been sent to also had the same issue. The staff didn't seem too concerned and didn't offer much in the way of help; they even suggested the guest go stay at the Marriot if they didn't like their room but would not offer a refund. Then, after we had checked in, another guest came to ask for a room change because they found mould in their room. These two incidents made for a nerve-wracking elevator ride up to our room for the first time! Happily, our room seemed to be just fine and was quite nice and spacious. We thoroughly checked for holes, mould, or any signs of bugs and could not find anything. The smell of the hotel was also not super ideal.

The cheapest hotel in the area, a bit on the bad side of downtown but easily walkable to downtown, old city area and 5-10 min walk towards restaurants in northern direction. The hotel is rundown, rooms and common spaces smell weird.

The receptionist was courteous, patient and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was really very economical. The location was convenient to all the tourists locations, it was down town Montreal. One could easily walk to most locations.I would come back and stay here again. I give this place 4stars!

Clean, safe, easy to get to by public transport and on foot. Easy late check in (until 3am!) which makes it suitable for travelers arriving directly downtown from late flights at the Montreal-Trudeau airport.
