this was a brief snow holiday to the Sierre Chevallier area. The Auberge de Violaine is a 5 minute walk from the Monnetier lift base. Its a quiet well presented small hotel / large guesthouse. Food was great, just what you need after a day on the hill rooms were tidy and clean beds were wonderful

The simple life
A simple hotel, plain but clean and comfortable. A convenient walk to skiing and other attractions. Great staff, very kind and helpful. Great home cooking in the restaurant. Adequate breakfast and complete dinners. I'd go back!!!

HĂŽtel non accueillant d'aspect extĂ©rieur. Etablissement a besoin d'un sĂ©rieux rafraĂźchissement (crĂ©pis, boiseries, emplacements parking et entretien des parterres ...) GĂ©rante accueillante mais nous annonce dĂšs notre arrivĂ©e qu'il n'y a pas de restaurant pour le soir. IntĂ©rieur hĂŽtel - idem que l'extĂ©rieur en ajoutant que les moquettes Ă  l'Ă©tage sont en trĂšs mauvais Ă©tat. quant Ă  la chambre, superficie correcte, aucune possibilitĂ© de suspendre les vĂȘtements, aucune climatisation donc chaleur insupportable la nuit mĂȘme avec fenĂȘtre ouverte. Baignoire vĂ©tuste et mal entretenue. VoilĂ  pour une nuit cela nous a suffit mais nous n'y retournerons pas et nous n'en ferons aucune pub.
