Inexpensive alternative to hotels/motels
This is an inexpensive alternative to staying in a motel. It is a university residence so microwave and TV were downstairs in a student lounge and you do have to share a common bathroom/shower down a short hallway but it was clean and it appears there were no other people in the wing where I was staying so privacy or noise were not issues. I didn't need to go to the TV room downstairs thanks to the free WiFi in the room so I just watched my laptop online programs and movies before settling in for the night. On Saturday there was a hot breakfast and Sunday a basic continental breakfast, both included in the price (served only until 9:30 a.m.). I wasn't sure if towels/shampoo would be included but they were. I was there 2 nights and there was no housekeeping in between to make up the bed but that was not an issue with me. Bring your own fan - no A/C in the rooms and Moncton can get hot in summer months. I was lucky it was May and a coolish weekend. Unfortunately, lugging your luggage upstairs (only to 2nd floor) was a nuisance (no elevator) but other than that, a good experience overall.
