"We walked in from our pilgrim route tired and wet. We were put in a cramped w/c accessible room on the ground floor. There was a locked connecting door to the next room. The occupants returned, talking loudly, and apparently smoking as we could smell the cigarette smoke in our room. We asked to be moved and ended up in a much nicer, larger room on the first floor, with a bathtub! Sorely needed after our long, wet day of walking. The next morning we arrived at breakfast to find one of the most complete breakfast offerings we'd seen thus far, and a lovely young woman presiding! Perfect for hungry pilgrims who would be walking again that day. So, things started out not wonderful but ended up great!"
"Check in was welcoming and informative. The room was very clean, the linen was first class and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ideal. The owners have taken great care."
"A historical building. Rooms excellent. Staff friendly. Restaurant good but with very limited choice, and for that reason alone I would not like to stay longer than the three nights that we did. "
"We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, it is very basic but suits our needs as an overnight stop with a dog.
Last night we arrived and found the toilet seat cracked through and the sink cracked, the shower sealant was mouldy. I informed the reception about the toilet seat and was told there was no other rooms available and she thanked me for telling her.
This morning at breakfast I gave my dog a piece of my paid for baguette and a piece of cheese, the gentleman on reception came into the breakfast room and informed me the food was for humans and not dogs!
There was a French man with his dog in the breakfast room, he gave his dog food with no problem.
We will not be staying here again and I would not recommend this hotel based onmy latest experience, I felt extremely threatened by the attitude of the male receptionist and his manner towards me. "
"We were welcomed by our host Stephanie and shown to our room. Disappointed to find it opened directly on to the dining room. Could clearly hear conversation from guests in the next room through the walls. Our bedroom and bathroom were both large in size with teas/coffees and kettle which were welcome. Good breakfast of orange juice, cereals, toast and jams, and cheese. Quiet peaceful location."
