We enjoyed our stay at this newly opened apart hotel in Kyoto, which just launched in November 2024. The property is modern and beautifully designed, with everything inside feeling brand new. I stayed in a Junior Suite with my three boys (the youngest being 13), and the space was sufficient. The suite featured two twin beds and two sofas, making it perfect for our needs. The small kitchenette was well-equipped with a fridge, freezer, electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave/oven, and all the necessary utensils. We also appreciated the washer and dryer, with detergent provided. The bathroom was spacious and convenient, with two sinks, a separate shower and bathtub area, and a separate toilet room. Location-wise, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, just a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station. It’s also within walking distance of key attractions like the Kyoto National Museum and Sanjūsangendō Temple (both less than 10 minutes away), and the famous Gion district is about a 20-minute walk. Overall, I’m very happy with our stay. The hotel is a great blend of comfort, convenience, and modern amenities, and I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

In addition to its excellent transportation links, Kabin Kyoto is surrounded by a variety of shopping and dining options. We loved having so many choices right at our doorstep. The nearby shopping areas offered everything from traditional crafts to modern boutiques, perfect for picking up souvenirs. When it came to dining, the numerous restaurants in the vicinity catered to all tastes, from local delicacies to international cuisine. It was delightful to have such a range of options within walking distance, making mealtime convenient and enjoyable. Safety is always a top priority when traveling, and I felt very secure during my stay at Kabin Kyoto. The hotel is situated in a safe neighborhood, which allowed us to explore the area freely, even in the evenings. The staff were also very attentive and accommodating, adding an extra layer of comfort to our experience. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and offered a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with all the necessary amenities to make our stay.

This hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access local transportation, which is a significant advantage for exploring the area. The proximity to bus and train stations allowed us to navigate the city effortlessly, taking the stress out of getting around. When it comes to shopping and dining, Kabin Koji is situated in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of options. We enjoyed exploring the local shops, where we found unique souvenirs and delightful treats. For dining, there were numerous family-friendly restaurants within walking distance, serving everything from local cuisine to international favorites. It made meal times a breeze, especially with kids in tow. The hotel itself was very accommodating for families. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with amenities that catered to both adults and children. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing recommendations for activities and dining that were perfect for our family.

The beds were rock hard but the people were hospitable and it was a short 15min walk to universal studios
