I made a reservation 2 to 3 weeks ahead of traveling, at the time of check-in I got told that there was only one room available Handicapped. After showing the clerk my reservation documents he made a phone call, which took 10 to 15 minutes. After he got off the phone he simply stated that they had no rooms. Are you kidding me. Then the hotel charged my card for the first nights stay. I had to scramble to find another hotel as the area I was staying had some big events that weekend and there was not much available. Luckily I found something. So the next morning I call my credit card company and then the hotel. After asking for the manager, who was unavailable, I explained the situation and asked that the charged be refunded. He had to discuss this with the Manager and would get back to me. Well surprisingly the clerk, NOT the manager, called me back. The charged was refunded and he apologized stating this should NEVER happen. My response, Thank you but it did, hopefully this does not happen to someone else. Don't bother to book or stay at this hotel.....it is not the cleanest or easiest to get to and comes across as extremely low budget. FYI....I normally do not post an experience, but this needs to get out there.
