This should be made clear on the hotel details as it’s difficult to reverse onto main road. Foyer and bar are really stylish if a little cold with a drain type smell on the way to the lifts. "Nice and friendly staff. Clean room and premises. Very practical and easy to access by car and to park near the main entrance. Perfect place for a stay over when on a road trip. However, the restaurant is closed on weekends and there’s nothing available to eat unless you take your car again to go someplace or you order fast food. "

"The restaurant was closed, it being a Sunday, which we were not warned about. Power cut on Monday morning, which your chap fixed quickly. Worse thing, there is a concrete bar across the exit, which is too high, and it damaged the underside of my car. "

People must pass by your window to get to their room and leaves very little privacy and is very loud. "The hotel is quaint and historical - but also modern, warm and welcoming. It is perfectly located in the middle of a beautiful French town/village steeped in history. But above all the staff make you feel like you are home - the manager Clara is exceptionally gifted at making you feel welcome. I travel frequently and I have to say, the customer service at this property is five star across the board. I highly recommend this property."

"It’s only 3-minute walk to the palace and close to restaurants and supermarket and fruit store. The only concern is the ventilation of the room and I saw mold buildups on the tiles of the shower room. The staff immediately cleaned it after I bring out this problem."

"A lovely budget hotel in a Fontainebleau. Friendly welcome, clean, quiet room. Bathroom small by North American standards but not out of the ordinary in Europe. Close to everything, Fontainebleau Chateau is close, ( to enter the grounds) and the ticket booth about 15 minutes away. Place de la Republique is perhaps a 7 minute walk away, with a lovely market three times a week. Dining options are many, varied and close by, (il Primo Biaccio a great Italian place). We did not avail ourselves of the offered breakfast so can’t comment, and arrived by train, a lovely 30 minute walk mostly through a park, so can’t comment on parking either.. highly recommended. (Though not if you are expecting modern North American chain hotel standards) "

"Wonderful stay! Friendly staff, lovely hotel, beautiful part of Fontainbleau, close access to both forest trails and the city center. Really great value for money. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, the grounds are lovely and everyone who was staying there seemed to really just enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely return!"
