"One of the best equipped and well set up places I have stayed. Great to have clean and well-equipped kitchen. My room looked out on the road; at first I thought it would be too noisy but the double glazing was very effective at blocking the sound. Good information eg clearly labelled light switches. Easy to use door seduriry with codes. I was delighted to be able to leave my luggage between check-out and train departure. Very convenient for station, town, restaurants, church. "I was in one of the cheaper lodges not overlooking the lakes and closer to the bins. Lodge was clean overall and simply equipped with the standard fittings. I didn’t use any of the restaurants on site and check in was very easy. "

"A lovely stay. Roast dinner and breakfast the following morning were delicious. The suite we stayed in was large, nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Easy to find and lots of parking Staff member Nathan and the lady who served us breakfast were both lovely. The cons - the hot water tank run out after my husband had a shower. We had to wait 45 minutes for it to heat up again. For the age/type of building this isn’t a problem but it would be good to give guests the heads up online...

"Very nice place to stay, well with in walking distance to the town centre. There is a nice park at the end of the road. The room we stayed in was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and well cooked. Karl and Jude were great hosts and were very helpful."
