Extremely tired, needs a complete refurbishment. More an Ibis Budget 1 star than 4 stars. Having used this hotel lots of times over many years, I certainly won’t be back until it’s refreshed. Breakfast, don’t bother. The full English wasn’t! The bedroom room ceiling was disgusting, brown stains from I guess old water leaks. Room windows were small and started 2m above floor level, more a prison cell look than something inviting. Staff very average. Management needs to take a good look at itself for letting this gem go.

The accommodation was good very clean and the reception people were extremely helpful. The two bedrooms were upstairs, which can be difficult for older people.

Property was in a great location, close to the shopping area. Is a little dated. We were up on the third floor so could hear noise in the street at night, but it wasn't late. Plenty of eating options near-by. Very comfy bed.

Not great. WiFi was terrible. Not possible to stream or even connect half the time. Standard note in the bathroom said to put towels in the shower to have them changed but that didn’t happen - we just had a pile of wet towels. We had to ask at reception and were told no housekeeping on Sundays. There was a tiny note on the back of the door to that effect even though the info in the room clearly said daily housekeeping. When we insisted the woman at reception arranged new towels for our room and replaced the used crockery but there was no cleaning or other housekeeping. There was no apology. Also the constant noise from air conditioning units outside our room made it difficult to sleep. The aircon inside our room made a horrible high pitched noise so we couldn’t heat our room even though it was June and quite cold outside. Overall I would never stay here again.

Unfortunately I had to change my booking from Tuesday 14/5/24 to Monday 13/5/24 due to unforeseen circumstances. I was totally disappointed that even though I had given the Hotel at least 10 days notice I was charged an additional $30 to change my booking. I don't consider this fair and reasonable and tarnished our stay there.
