Very nice stay. Very helpful receptionist. The regular barman in the evening couldn’t have been nicer. Walkable distance to train station and metro (which you should use cause it’s easy and safe). About a 20 minute walk from the duomo. Overall we had a great trip.

Good property about ten minutes walk from the central station. Rooms are a little small but very clean and have everything you need. The staff are excellent. Very helpful and kind.

The lobby and bar areas can't be faulted and the staff were friendly at reception. It is apparently under renovation but the room we had felt like a throwback from the 70s and not in a nostalgic way. The electrics were muddled and there were stains on the dressing gown and one of the sheets. One of the jets from the bath, when accidentally turned on kept blowing off and chucked out a load of dirt. I'm sure it could be 4 stars after renovating but didn't feel it compared to other 4 star hotels we've stayed at in Italy.

Loved the location and the breakfast was a stand out, along with the staff. The hotel is under renovation so we were on a floor that was due for an upgrade. Not bad overall with the state of the room. Would be amazing once renovated

Classic Italian bad hotel, the room had a king bed for the two of us but a table with 1 chair, there are two columns at the foot of the bed and the tv is on the other side of the room, so only one person can watch tv from the bed, there more wrong with the room. This is a classic example of italian hotels some are ok, but I had a lot of bad experiences in expensive pretentious and bad hotels like this one

Lovely hotel, highly recommended . All the staff were professional and friendly. Room was immaculately clean - we requested a balcony if possible and received a wonderful room overlooking the pretty courtyard with a balcony. Thank you. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. All the public rooms were fantastically decorated - lots to look at. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Sanpi Milano SKIP!
Overall this hotel was not the greatest experience. In my 10 day stay in Italy, I stayed five hotels and while all had some sort of issue only this one warranted a review. I'm not one to write a review but the hotel's staff was rude from the start. They had e-mailed in advance whether I wanted a single bed or two twins. I had responded requesting two twins only to get a single upon arrival and the hotel not reading the message. There are a set of stairs to get to the elevator and the staff barely helped nor do they even open the doors at the front of the hotel when you're walking in with luggage. The room itself was fine and clean though had a lot of issues - sink was clogged, curtain off the track, mini fridge on its last life and no working AC. I was luckily only there for one night. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. There are plenty of other places to stay in Milan. Location is good as it's close to Milano Centrale but other than that can skip this place.

Hotel is designed well in the bar/breakfast area and in the outside patio. Very pretty there. The room was plain and boring. There was drywall patching going on in the room that had not been painted and the hallways were severely damaged from luggage hitting it. As usual with Italian hotels the bed was VERY firm and pillows flat, but that was expected. The bathroom was large (was handicap accessible). The breakfast was good and freshly made coffee from the very nice baristas. Location is not near city center (which I knew and was fine with me) but is just a 30 min walk there. It is near many nice restaurants, bars, etc. so that was great. Overall, a nice stay.

Maybe our expectations were unrealistic having just come from Florence and Siena, recognizing Milan is an expensive city, but I hope I never have to stay in this hotel again. The staff were fantastic throughout, and when my wife found a bunch of bugs crawling around our original room, they immediately moved us into another part of the hotel (though the maid did give her some attitude that she was “only” killing 5-6 per minute… which still feels like a lot??). The new room was larger, but clearly overdue for a reno. Very spacious bathroom, much larger than anywhere else we’ve been in Italy, but there was significant amount of mold, mildew and rust all around the shower, grouting. Even the towel stand (that had all the clean towels on it) had significant levels of rust. Turning on the AC resulting in a strong mildew smell in the room and developed a strong cough after 4 nights. Also, the wifi is unreliable in the rooms - I could only get one wifi bar in the bathroom so not great if you have any work to do, nevertheless streaming or anything else data intensive. You will need a good roaming/e sim plan. The garden bar is nice and we always enjoyed a spritz or Prosecco down there, but we’re happy to finally leave the hotel.
