Our recent stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I requested and paid for an upgrade, hoping for a better experience. However, it quickly turned into a nightmare. First, the upgraded room's bathroom had a strong smell of urine. Though unpleasant, I chalked it up to a minor hiccup and requested to be moved. What we encountered in the new room was appalling. Broken Furniture: One of the chairs had a broken rail, which I didn’t notice until I rested my foot on it and ended up scraping myself. This is not only unacceptable but unsafe. Damaged Surfaces: The bathroom counter was falling apart, with peeling and torn-up wood that made the entire space look unkempt. Dirty Linens and Pillows: There was a visible stain on one of the pillows, which made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. Neglected Maintenance: From chipped furniture to scuffed floors and dirty surfaces, it was clear that basic upkeep was being ignored. We paid extra to upgrade and were shocked at the deplorable condition of the room. It felt dirty, unsafe, and completely mismanaged. A hotel stay should offer comfort and cleanliness as the bare minimum, yet this fell short in every regard. Recommendation: I would not stay here again unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards.

Bathroom lights didn’t work and toilet was leaking. Still had blue protective plastic on the windows. Service at the gili’s beach club was not good, plates were dirty, and it wasn’t busy. The elevators were also very very slow and always busy. The hotel as a whole was dated and dirty.
