"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. Great facilities, good comfy beds, very warm heating and well supplied cooking facilities. A pool for summer, grounds and a Summer house and a well stocked games room for kids if the weather is bad. A surprising stay

"Never used Dragonfly (Suraya) hotels before so was not sure what to expect. The reception was warm, welcoming and could not be more helpful My room was large (executive), warm, cosy with a great sized bed that was really comfortable The food was good, great choices, fresh and delicious, shame i could not put on room or open a tab. Spirit drinks were limited in choice. All in all a great stay and would look to use this chain again through the East of England"

Another fabulous stay at Smugglers

"Once again, Room 101 was beautifully clean (Thank you, Charlotte in Housekeeping). Lots of Tea & Coffee, bed was crisp, white and clean, very big and very comfy. USB ports at both bedside tables - perfect! Towels folded neatly, big, white & fluffy. I love coming to Smugglers. Their Carvery is delicious and well worth the money. "

"The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"

A Victory for The Victory

"I only stayed one night but I cannot fault the experience. The staff members were very friendly and helpful and the room was warm, clean and comfortable. I slept really well! Breakfast was plentiful and the full English looked amazing but more than I could cope with. I settled for Eggs Benedict and coffee, which was plenty to keep me going for the morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. "
