"The rooms are spacy, well equipped and furnished and the overall cleanliness is super. The staff is very friendly and caring. The location is excellent nearby the beautiful Pyhäjärvi lake, several interesting destinations and trails. The old Tartu city is worth a day trip as well. Minor drawbacks (to Finns) are small saunas and their related facilities."

"This is an old hunting lodge type hotel with plenty of old character; displaying stuffed animals, everyday items from yesterday year hanging from the ceilings, walls or perched on windowsills! Each of the 40 plus rooms upstairs were named by European cities as well as numbered. You had an old fashioned key to open & close your room! Our room 'Turku' was a tad stuffy, although there was a ceiling fan or windows to open as an option. Breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold, cereals, pastries...

"The communications that I received before I ever got to the hotel were clear and very informative. The room was incredibly comfortable and very well maintained. Even though the building does not have an in-house reception I was able to get help for an issue I was having within a couple of minutes. Overall it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time and definitely the best I've had on this 6 country, 12 city tour. "
