Nice hotel with an excellent view.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the people working there. However, the place it is situated is not very touristic and was unexpected. The breakfast was not really appealing. I would not recommend the hotel to someone who wants a relaxing holiday, it isnt a place to relax. Indoor of the hotel is beautiful though. Rooms arent as comfortable and the cleanliness would not be 100% I feel they should include televisions into the rooms.

Hotel in authentic Marrakech
The hotel staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help which made our stay really enjoyable. Although we'd read the reviews about the hotel nothing prepared us for the poverty around the hotel, we wish we had known because we would have taken some gifts for the children. If we had known where it was we probably wouldn't have booked it, we're just glad we didn't know - we would've missed a real experience of Marrakech.

Lovely Morrocan Riad
I stayed at Le Mirage with my husband and ten year old daughter. It was perfect for us since there was a welcoming family atmosphere and little nooks and crannies to explore. She felt very happy and safe there and loved spending time in the pretty swimming pool. The free shuttle to the city was easy to use and reliable so we could spend as much time as we wanted in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech but retreat to the peaceful village when we'd had enough. The staff were exceptionally helpful and really cared about making things good for us. For example Yassine took our postcards to gat stamps for them and send them on his way home from the Riad. There are plenty of activities to do from the village, so you don't have to go far to join activity groups. We would definitely go back there.

Hiddwn gem
Ok, so the journey there was a bit of a worry as we hadn't prebooked a lift from the airport, and the final mile of riad is a bit on the bumpy side. But when we got there and were led through to the reception it was instantly clear that this is certainly a place you can chill out. Free shuttles into Marrakech every day, fantastic 4 course dinners and really lovely and helpful staff made this a great stay.

Great welcome and service
We had a great few days stay. The kasbah is great, full of character and charm. Unfortunately the surrounding village is a little shocking at first, with open sewage running down the street. The locals are however charming and extremely welcoming content with their lot. Do go out and see the village it is at once shocking, charming, interesting and a n eye opener. The free shuttle is good, but quality of taxis used poor, and the road/track extremely poor. Half board menu great value for money and authentic local dishes.

Nightmare
The hotel was very poor none of the room amenities worked no cold water no road leading to the hotel for at least a mile and half. It was totally utterly desolute. I would not recommend this to anyone. Had to change hotels after first day

Should be amazing, but isn't.
Mix feelings about this hotel. Main problem is that it's much further out than advertised in their website, a few km is actually 10km! They do provide a shuttle, however it's at awkward times 10am or 3pm. Second disappointment is the food. Which you have to eat as your so far out, you'd starve otherwise. There is literally not other options near the hotel not even a shop. If your not doing the set meal, you have to order from the same pool menu for the evening which included spaghetti Bolognese, paninis, omelettes! Not what you want for dinner when in morocco. There is also very little atmosphere in the hotel after dinner, hotel does not encourage any evening mingling. Would be good if they opened the terrace bar (which didn't open the whole time, not did the pool bar). Also, wasn't happy with the sun loungers. They must be 30 years old, this is true of the rest of the facilities. Very surprised that Expedia offers this hotel, worst I've said at through them. But on a positive note, the building is beautiful, the pool is as big as in the pictures and the staff are very friendly.

peace and quiet guaranteed
stuck in the middle of nowhere - scrubland a dried up river bed and a shanty village, Le Mirage is actually a marvellous place to stay if you want to do nothing. the '4km' to the medina is a bit naughty - it's 4km to the outermost edge of the medina wall. It's a further 4km to the Koutobia mosque. A twice daily shuttle will take you into the town centre, but the last return is at 7.30pm, so if you want to boogie in Marrakech at night and hang out in the square when it is at it's best you will have to get the hotel taxi to collect you for 200 dh. A lot of city cabs will not take you - because they don't know it or because a lot of the journey is off road. That said, it is a wonderful hotel, only 27 rooms, delightful staff, the food is fine, although I can't speak for the Half board menu the a la carte was lovely. The pool is gorgeous - 20m unheated - but in 40C, it's very refreshing.

An enigma...
Wonderful staff, quiet, out of the way, pool way to smelly but don't think there's much can be done about that. Amazing views, peaceful and relaxed atmos. I really liked its genuine charm and authenticity but cannot say I would rush back. It is what it is....

Calm outside of Marrakech
I live in Morocco and am often in Marrakech for business. The city can be so overwhelming and exhausting so I decided to try a hotel outside of the city center. This one is certainly in an interesting location. Not sure how I found it, but I did. Enjoyed the pool. Wished the jacuzzi was working. Lasagna dinner was fabulous and breakfast also good. A calm place to escape and unwind. I even did a spa treatment that was reasonably priced. The spa might have been the highlight for me. I would consider going back.

A very nice hotel but the location is very isolated.. There are shuttle bus services from the hotel but there are not enough. All in all, the staff at the hotel are all working hard to look after the customers. We are very pleased with that.

Heaven On Earth
The feeling of heaven on earth I had found staying at the Kasbah Le Mirage and Spa, located in a traditional Moroccan village, I instantly knew I was going to love my stay on arrival. I was truly captivated by the charm of the place, from the culturally rich Moroccan ambiance, to staff whose hospitality was beyond exceptional, plus, I can't forget the delicious food I ate. I simply enjoyed every moment of my stay. There's not enough words that can explain how AMAZING it really was! All I can say it was 7 days of true BLISS! I'll sum up my experience with one word 'MAGICAL'.

A beautiful, quiet hotel outside Marrakech
The hotel is off the beaten track but well worth staying at. We took a taxi from the airport which was expensive and the taxi driver did not know where he was going so make sure you arrange a pick up through the hotel. It's much cheaper and the taxi drivers know where they are going. The staff were really friendly and helpful especially Yassine who went out of his way to help us and spoke good English. The rest of the staff spoke French so go prepared with some basic French phrases. Some beers and food ran out and the evening menu was very limited but what was available was good and reasonably priced. Overall we had a great experience and the hotel was a peaceful haven to the hustle and bustle of town.

good for a relaxing break
The hotel is converted from several village dwellings and decorated with traditional plaster, tiles and mosaics. It is situated in a small village outside Marrakech beyond the palmery in a tranqil spot (except when parties of quadbike enthusiasts show up - the hotel occasionally hosts quadbiking, camel rides and other activities for groups). The rooms don't have much space for relaxing but this is made up for by a series of spacious terraces, including several roof terraces looking out over the surounding countryside and the High Atlas. Food is good and reasonably priced. Breakfasts are delicious with home-made breads and pancakes and there is a crackling fire in the dining room on winter evenings. Overall a lovely place for a relaxing break. Make sure you take plenty of change for tips because the hotel doesn't seem able to make change.

Not Impressed at all
This looked like an extremely charming, traditional Moroccan hotel, located a few miles outside Marrakech, and I choose this hotel because I wanted 4 days of rest from my hectic job, and wanted quiet time to spend writing an MBA dissertation. The site listed a running track as one of the facilties so I was looking forward to sleeping, writing and jogging. The reality was vastly different. The hotel was situation much further from town and taxi drivers did their best to charge as much as possible for the long drive: it was more like 10 miles from Marrakech than 5, and over non-existing roads. The hotel, which was rather nicely done inside, was situated in the middle of a poor village, with rubbish strewn about, so the air around the - tiny - pool was filled with flies so impossible to relax in the sun. But the worst thing were the dogs that gathered in packs at night in the front of the hotel and barked pretty much all night. I paid extra for a front, mountain view room, but this turned out to a disaster as I barely slept a wink all night. There was no running track either so I took a chance and just ran in circles around the neighbourhood, and soon attracted an audience of kids begging for money and sweets. The staff were very friendly though, and breakfast was good. There is no choice in the evening meal however; you eat what you are given. Overall, this was a huge disappointment, so you should think about why you want to stay there. I left after 2 nights.

The Kasbah Le Mirage & Spa - Marrakech
The hotel is truly lovely. It is a 30 minute drive from the airport and the middle of Marrakech so it is worth contacting the hotel to arrange for a transfer from the airport. There are free buses which take you into Marrakech twice a day. The hotel is very quiet at this time of year so a number of the advertised 'faciiities' weren't open such as the bar in the swimming pool or the bar on the roof terrace but the staff are very happy to cater for your every need. If you book to go half board be aware that its a fixed meal with no choice - that said the food was wonderful and the lack of choice took away the need to make any decisions. :-) It does get very cold first thing in the morning and late at night so take a thick jumper. During the day, it hit temperatures of 24/25c. It is very quiet in the evening - most people were in bed by 11 so its not the hotel for you if you were looking for night life. That said, it was absolutely perfect for what we were after. The hotel staff speak very little English so you really do feel like you are away from everything and it gives the perfect opportunity for complete R&R. The views from the roof terrace are both picturesque (the Atlas Mountains) and humbling (the views of the accommodation for the local villagers). I would return without doubt. The Spa Massages are definitely an experience - note that more than one person can have a massage at the same time and you're all in the same room!! :-)
