"Dann Carlton Medellín is a great hotel the staff are friendly and helpful the food in the rooftop restaurant is great and the breakfast is a good and extensive buffet. The rooms are large and beds comfortable and clean. The only thing that was not good is the shower water temperature is not controlled so you are constantly having to change the temperature when another room is using water. The pool is fabulous and countryside very lush and beautiful. There are many local birds to see in the little park next to the hotel but unfortunately there are tramps sleeping in the bushes and defecating so the smell in pungent. There are cleaners that come and clean the park every day but something should be done about the tramps. Law in for cement officers walk through the park but do nothing about the tramps. You will see tramps and this same problem all over Medellín. Although we did not see tramps in the Botanical Gardens or the Zoo those areas have been cleaned out. I think that the Dann Carlton hotel should have a say on what happens in the park next door and along the street they should be able to persuade the authorities to clean the area up and make it a better place for tourists to visit."
