"This remodeled farmhouse in the countryside was a perfect place for our first night after Lucca. I was hiking the Via Francigena while my wife was driving. We had a wonderful bedroom and full use of the large "great room." The pool was fabulous. Down the hill we could see horses and other farm animals. The owners were friendly and helpful. Although we stayed only a night it would be a good place for a much longer period of time. We loved the rural feel and quiet. Thank you! "

"The location of the hotel is amazing however during our stay we have some major issues. There were plenty of bedbugs in the room which I managed to kill 5 of them but still have spots on my skin from the bugs. WIFI inside my room did not work. They had WIFI in the outdoor area so I have to go out to use the WIFI so it was really inconvenience. Breakfast was really really basic. "We had an amazing holiday at Hotel Hambros. The staff, the pool, the location, the breakfast and restaurant. Guido and Stefania at the front of house went above and beyond to help us and Susan by the pool was a ray of sunshine every day and couldn’t do enough for us. If we had any type of problem or question or concern everyone was quick to be of service to us and help us out. No problem was to big and we were made to feel so welcome. "We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"This is the most amazing experience. We spent 5 days here. It is a little family run Agriturismo that is exactly what it states. No frills, but living as an Italian farming family would. Lovely pool on site which was a great bonus. The meals are fantastic, home cooked and very affordable. We will definitely rerun with our family for another stay! LOVED IT!!"

"We loved our stay at the Borgo La Casseta. It’s a family business, they have a small restaurant on the main floor. It takes approx half an hour drive up the hill to get there from Pistoia. The downside was the staff were very abrupt never told us were any of the facilities were. You had to choose your breakfast the night before and it mainly consisted of cakes and pastries. The only savoury items were eggs and salami. If you wanted dinner you also had to choose what you wanted in advance. "
