"This place is awesome! The tented structure was awesome and the bathrooms attached to each structure were modern and clean. After just a few short hours of being there, the Maasai guards knew who we were and where our tent was. At night when it was dark, they would walk with with us shining a light to make sure we could see. The food was 10/10. When I went to the bar and asked for a bottle of water for my room, they brought it to my tent. The whole staff was so friendly and the service was outstanding! I definitely hope to return because it was such a great experience. They also had a really cool traditional Maasai dance one night during dinner. "
"we did your honeymoon here and it was the most amazing experience! can't thank the staff here enough for making super memorable. They should let guests know that are booking that "full board" means fine dining because we were not expecting such high quality food and service. will visit this place again. For game drives make sure you go with Dominic he was amazing!"
"We had a wonderful time at Entumoto. We can, without hesitation, recommend it to all. The accommodation is luxurious & lacks nothing. Large tents & comfy beds, with great bathroom & hot solar heated showers. The viewfrom our tent was spectacular & we could even enjoy it from our huge bed.with a cuppa. The staff are wonderful, friendly & will do everything they can to make your stay magical. The food, a lot from their own garden,is superb & we are foodies. The game drives can’t be beaten. We saw all the usual animals including, lions, cheetah & leopard. We spent one long day in the National Park in the Mara & the rest in the conservancy & doing both is to be recommended .The bush lunch in nearby Eden is a must. Isaac our safari guide was the best ever. Extremely interesting & personable. Highly skilled, silver awarded guide, super enthusiastic & extremely knowledgeable. Every member of staff from Chef to gardener went above & beyond. We would return tomorrow if we could."
"Mara Major Camp is the perfect place to stay for an authentic Kenyan safari experience. The lodge staff are local Maasai that truly make the place special. We were the only guests at the camp because we stayed at the beginning of the rainy/off season and they were so attentive to us, taking care of all our needs. The food is great and the chef works hard to present you wonderful meals. He also catered to our weird food needs. One of the Maasai took us on game drives around Maasai Mara Reserve and did a fantastic job driving and getting us close to the animals. He took us to see Lion cubs, cheetah cubs, and even a leopard cub! We also watched a Lion hunt and kill! Spectacular experience!
The complaint I have has nothing to do with the camp, the stay, or the camp staff, but rather the false information advertised on Expedia. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s fault or the owners that run the camp off site. First, the camp is advertised as “all inclusive.” This is not true. You only get the lodging and meals, but you’re hit with ridiculous extra fees for anything else: transportation, game drives, other activities, anything to drink besides water, etc. So I warn when booking, this high price you’re paying for your stay doesn’t cover much. Second, the advertisement claims you will have free transportation from the nearest airstrips to the camp and back again. This is also not true and we were hit with another unexpected charge to get to the airstrip after our stay. Be warned. "
"I stayed at this property for 3day/2nights. The staff was amazing. They are some of the nicest kindest people you will meet. We felt safe and learned an enormous amount about the animals in the area. It was my bday and they made me a cake and sang, it was unforgettable. Memories for a lifetime. I wish I could have stayed longer. The reviews do not do this place justice. The accommodations were more than we expected and the game drives were exciting and thrilling. We loved every moment. (One tip: make sure to bring US or Euro, we were short to pay for small items like drinks) "
