Only downside (if you could call it that) is that the area is very quiet with not much going on in the evening- and everything requires a taxi across the bridge "

Overall I love this place and always go back despite any negative experiences Check in was terrible. that reception no idea what is an online booking so i had to give her my phone with booking confirmation not she even understood that. I specifically requested to check in early as I has an event starting at 1pm at the hotel and i need to shower and dress for event. the receptionist instead of checking of a room is...

"Its ungortunate that I did book but could not reach the place. I did go to Maputo but looking at the distance from maputo, I decided to book somewhere else, so I can not say much. My money went down to drain."

"I had a great time at Guesthouse 1109. The owners and staff are lovely and incredibly helpful. Great room, fantastic terrace and nice company."

"Very quiet, clean comfortable room with good air conditioning, good shower and comfy bed. Fridge and kettle provided, Wi-Fi worked very well. Central location if you need to be and only a 15 minute taxi ride from airport. No surprises or disappointments, breakfast was a bit basic but I don’t eat a huge breakfast anyway. "

"Very bad experience. The duvet was soaking wet and I complained, the person in charge said they iron it with steam and that’s to be like that. Drunk couple fighting on the corridor the whole night waking everybody up and knocking on doors at 5 o’clock in the morning. Overall cleanliness very bad. Breakfast doesn’t include coffee. A total nightmare!"

"The hotel is well and centrally located in Maputo and is clean and pleasant for a budget hotel. On the day i was staying in the hotel it was noisy. Also internet on the upper floors of the hotel was slow."
