"This is an adequate place to stay if you go in with the expectation that it is a homestay, not a hotel. All staff were very friendly and courteous. The floor was quite clean but the room was very basic and old, with dirty walls. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. A light breakfast is included but other amenities listed on Expedia were not: for example, there is no daily housekeeping and no toiletries, not even soap! We did get towels and toilet paper upon request! Also note there is NO HOT...

"The best hotel I’ve ever been! This is a highly undervalued hotel and with it being literally across the street from the best monkey forest in all of Bali you can’t go wrong. Monkeys were on hotel property our first day and the outdoor bathroom was strangely awesome to enjoy the view while showering! "

"Our room was quaint with a comfortable bed. Totally different from home which is why we travel in the first place. The food and staff was great! Their friendly and knowledgeable drivers made discovering the area very pleasant. A unique experience. !!"

"We stayed for only one night and this place was perfect as a stopover before taking the fast boat to Lombok. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the property was clean and tidy. As a bonus we had a meal the evening before we arrived and I had a “ monster burger” which you could tell was cooked with care and delicious. All that and breakfast thrown in ! Difficult to beat for the price and highly recommended."

"Affordable stay near the beautiful cliffside Diamond beach. Simple amenities were welcome after travelling for most of the day to reach this side of nusa penida from bali. Receptionist and team were lovely and accommodating, and always went out of their way to help with taxis or fetch anything you needed from town. "Location was awesome and grounds were beautiful. It was less than 5 minutes from the dive shop we used, easy to walk to (even with our luggage that we brought with us from th dive shop). But plumbing was broken in our room, and though facilities tried to fix it, they were unsuccessful and had to move us to another room. "The service is just horrible. They dont really speak English or understand very well. When we arrived there was noone at the hotel for 10 minutes and we just waited. They had forgotten we were coming, so they started argueing with each others, but none of them spoke to us or provided service for check in. They forgot roomservice one or more days. Only good service was the scooter they rented to us. The room and the pool was fine, the experience was just ruined by the service. We expected more...

"The Eden House was an incredible oasis minutes from.the busy shopping area, with a literal.walk into a peaceful, personalized haven. The Buddist feel and decor, both sophicated and warm, was paired with homemade breakfasts and a hands-on owner. I wouldbot have stayed anywhere else!"

"pool was amazing. landscaping was very good and lush it is extremely quiet and felt like a getaway from the busy streets. Breakfast was good and very convenient being so close we would so stay there again when we come back "

"Best staff soo far. They are helpful with everything what you need and are able to give you a ride for more than fair price. (Way cheaper than dock taxi). Overal it’s a really good place to be and close to all good spots. Don’t expect anything brand new and luxury, but everything is functional worth to price. They got a nice clean pool and drinks for more than fair price. If we will be back at Nusa Penida, we will be staying there for sure. "

"We loved our stay at Ubad Retreat. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options smoothies. The free shuttle was handy to get into Ubud city and drivers were always very prompt. The pool is lovely and the gardens are so peaceful. We stayed with our 5 month old baby and felt very safe/happy. "Fantastic resort and great accommodation. Staff were friendly and could not do enough. The only issue we had was the location. It’s listed as city centre but it is not. The map location is not correct. It’s around a 30 minute walk out of the centre. Due to a recent landslide, Taxis and the hotel shuttle have to take around a 20 minute diversion to get to and from town. The walk to town is not practical at night as the road is in darkness . Loved the hotel but had to use Taxi’s every night. These costed around a £5 a night from the market square to the Bridge where the landslide took place . The walk from the bridge is a further 400m but was better than the 25 minute diversion"

"This is the beautiful place I've ever stayed. The pools are in lush jungle. The breakfast was fantastic, both in quality and selection. The service was 12/10. Our butler, Eka, gave us his phone number to WhatsApp him any time we needed anything and delivered it promptly. The staff would come knock every evening to ask if we needed fresh towels or anything. They had a scooter delivered to us when they saw us leave the hotel to go rent our own. There was some beautiful dining entertainment, and you can cast Netflix or something from your phone to the TV in your room to watch your shows/movies at night. I can't say enough about my stay here. You will enjoy every moment. "
