Honestly, we were most excited about this stay on our honeymoon and it was a miss. This was our 3rd Michelin key hotel of our trip and it truly did not compare to the others. The grounds were beautiful, but the service and overall experience wasn’t. The missing piece to describe it all was lack of attentiveness. From introduction to the hotel at the start, to the pool area/service, to staff at breakfast, to service at the Michelin restaurant. Overall it felt like a 4 star hotel, rather than a 5. As honeymooners, we let the hotel know this in advance, every other 5 star hotel on our trip made sure we felt the warmth and service, this was an absolute miss from them. The spa, was missing water in the water jugs upon entry, there was not an employee in site for the 2-3 hours we spent there. The massage was great but to label this a unico spa experience, it wasn’t. When we got there as honeymooners, a little bottle of wine or glass or card to say “congrats” would have been us feel a bit more special during our stay. To be honest, we wanted to explore this hotel and recommend it to our friend next year for her wedding, based on size and look from our booking, but we quickly redirected and told our friend not to. Honestly, really really wish it was a better experience.
