"We arrived around 8-9pm and we left after breakfast the following morning, as we needed a base to stay after our ferry trip to Dublin, and before we embarked on our Wild Atlantic Way journey going via Blarney to Kinsale on the south coast of Ireland. We had a huge room with big windows on two sides and a comfortable bed. Plenty of plug sockets. TV. No air con and no fan, but plenty of windows to open. Lots of storage and a big bathroom. However, the roads of both sides were quite noisy so we should have requested a quiet room with the benfit of hindsight. Breakfast was great, buffet style, and the staff were helpful. As an en-route stopover for 1 night next to the N7 road and a mile from the M50 junction we can recommend and would stay there again."
"Very nice place, perfectly located. There are supermarkets nearby, and it’s only an 8–10 minute walk to Temple Bar and around 15–20 minutes to Dublin Castle, Trinity College, and other main attractions.
The room was clean and comfortable, with a great window and a nice light control system at the entrance. The A/C worked efficiently. While the room might feel a bit small or tight for some, it was still perfect and offered all the necessary comforts.
About the area: it feels generally safe. However, I strongly recommend avoiding Moore Lane and Henry Place, especially at night. Your GPS might suggest that route, but please choose another. Instead, walk along Parnell Street and turn left onto Moore Street, which runs parallel to Moore Lane.
Moore Lane and Henry Place are poorly lit and have a few boarded-up buildings and parking lot access points. In the early morning or at night, some groups tend to gather there, and the atmosphere can feel uncomfortable or unsafe. My wife and I had a concerning experience walking there, which included inappropriate behavior from an individual.
Please note that this is not a judgment of any community, and I do not intend to generalize or make assumptions. I’m simply sharing what we observed to help other travelers stay safe.
Overall, our stay was excellent, and with a bit of awareness about which streets to use, the location is fantastic."
"The hotel has a great location, close to restaurants, shops, transit and St. Stephen's Green (a beautiful park). Staff were exceptional and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean."
"I loved staying at this location and very much appreciated that they allowed me to check in early after arriving there from a transoceanic flight. I was able to freshen up and start exploring the city to stave off jet lag. Everyone at the front desk was nice and helpful, and I liked my little nest on the top floor from which I could look out at what was going on in the streets below me. The neighborhood has lots of shopping options a short walk away. The bus to the airport departs from across the street. Thank you for a convenient place to stay in Dublin!"
