The staff was polite and helpful. Beautiful location and views. Not too far from the port. Two restaurants with different menu choices was great. One area of the pool was out of order, would have been a better visit if that part was working. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful spot with excellent mountain and ocean views. Property is very new and built with meticulous attention to every detail. Just be aware there is no sand beach just a rock one but it does have good snorkeling and Mantigue Island with white sand beaches is visible just a short boat ride away.

Overcharged for additional people who have left after 1 night and charged us for all 3 nights despite showing them photos of people already on the ferry morning after the 1st day. One of our rooms had ants on the counter nonttop until check out. One of our rooms' next door room had an alarm ringing for almost 2 hours early in the morning waking up everyone, we had to call staff to fix iit which took them another 1 to.make it go away. Far from other restaurants and tourist spots. No dining options aside from the overpriced hotel restaurant Overpriced transportation. No beach access. Will not recommend

When we came, she immediately informed me about what we need to pay and stuff like and it made us feel like they are all up to money and making sure we can pay. Not even asking us if we are comfortable at the moment and how was our flight/travel.

We were pleased that we got upgraded to a suite . We didn’t need 2 beds bec we’re a couple . The living room & dining area was a treat , we enjoyed the separation . May we suggest to put the door to separate the bedroom to give privacy when you have guests joining you for a night cup or a game night . The place is quiet & very clean. The first few days seems like there were less than 10 of us . So buffet was not available although the breakfast we had was great & it was a generous portion. The staff was excellent . From the driver that picked us up from the airport , the guy who assisted us with our luggages and of course our good waiter Aldren who greeted & served us every morning . They were very courteous & helpful . The place itself is wonderful but the staff is the heart of Noveau . Wish you can give an all inclusive package that includes port transport , packages to the islands & waterfalls etc. an all inclusive no worry package . It was a great experience and would surely recommend the place .

I should have done my research and didn’t know I had to cross the sea to get there. Anyway, the hotel is very clean and new. Friendly staff, nice pool, kept the kids occupied with their game room. But… getting there was very inconvenient. You have to ride a passenger boat that smells like piss, and it’s packed with people. Very hot when you’re seated inside. Hence, I paid $400 to book the hotel speed boat on my way back to CDO. Next, Camuiguin is known for their beaches and white islands. Unfortunately this resort does not have a beach and their boats to get to the white island are “under maintenance”, so we’re stuck with the pool. Now food… the restaurant in front of the sea is better than the hotel restaurant. Also, anything you order from the hotel resto, be prepared to wait 45-60 mins. before you can eat. All in all, I will not be coming back due to everything being overpriced and inconvenient.

How can this hotel be rated the way it is?
The Nouveau has pleasant and mostly new facilities. There is a lot of construction ongoing (often until very late > 2200 at night) - unfortunately, with very little attention towards the guests. The service is appaling. We reported a stuck and leaking toilet the first night into our stay, were assure that it was fixed, just to run into the same issue again the next night and the night after. No - I mean zero - excuse from the management and no offer to change the room, once it became clear that the toilet issue could not be fixed (the technican did acknowledge the last night there was a problem with the bowl). Also, the service in the restaurant is dismal. We waited for 45 minutes on a canned pinapple juice. The pool attentant is mostly nowhere to be seen (safety issue - is he also functions as life guard!). When asking you are being told he might be on a break. Staff are regularily dodging and hiding from any kind of enquiries. Our room also had not been cleaned the following the first day (dispite us being gone for the better part of the day). When pointing this out to reception. I get the excuse that since COVID, the explicit consent of the guest needs to be had for cleaning the room (frankly the first such excuse I heard - none of the other hotels or resorts had such policies). In summary, I am completely at loss how this resort can be rated the way it is. The service problems are systemic and not just isolated.
