"I gave the staff a 1 only because I was waiting for the elevator. When it arrived, a staff member was in it with a large bin of dirty laundry. She was on her phone. She saw I was waiting and she continued texting on her phone for at least 30 seconds not getting out of the elevator and blocking it from anyone getting in. Another staff member that was in the hall with me said something to her and she just made a nasty comment. I found that very rude. I wasn’t in a hurry but I also don’t appreciate rudeness. All the other staff so far have been awesome "
"The location is awesome. Shepler’s ferry and downtown Mackinaw are less than a mile walk from the hotel, and it’s an easy walk. The state park lake shore and fort are a five minute walk. The hotel is clean, breakfast was awesome (eggs, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and other items). Our room was a king with couch, very spacious. The only negative: our room was on the top floor above I75. It was VERY noisy when certain vehicles would drive by on the highway. I wish I could have turned the AC fan on continuously to muffle the noise, but it wouldn’t stay on. Bring something to muffle the highway noise in case your room is on that side. I would highly recommend this hotel. "
"It was an adventure getting to cabin of Mackinac city to say the least. Traveling on a motorcycle 6.5 hrs away from home, never know what’s going to happen. Like; the bike breaking down 3 hrs away from cabins in the middle of nowhere, to being 10 MINUTES AWAY from the cabins, only to be rained on. I mean dumped on!!! The lake basically DUMPED the whole lake on us. Being on a motorcycle, on a highway… not the best idea. We had a few delays.
The staff were extremely understanding and willing to help in anyway that they could! The price is totally worth the package deals. My husband and I came on a solo trip! But will definitely be back to visit with the kiddo’s the waterpark, pool & hot tub that’s included is an extra bonus! "
"Amazing. Staff was amazing. Visitors could clean up after themselves. Most of these complaints in the reviews are probably from the same people that left chairs in the water and trash on the beach. "
"They don't have a typical motel office. They email your room number and door code before you arrive. It's actually pretty efficient. The room was nice, clean, walking distance to the ferry. We were very pleased with it."
