Luolishi Tangerine Ecological Park

Lovely hotel in the mountains, a short taxi ride away from the main Wuyi mountain cultural centre, with access to tours, hikes and bamboo boat rides. The hotel itself is in excellent condition, with great rooms, views, and amenities. The food at the restaurant is very reasonably priced, and the menu seems to reflect the local ingredients and cooking styles. The morning breakfast buffet has a huge choice of food, including chinese and western. The little town also has some nice restaurants, but western tourists should been aware that most of the tourists here are other Chinese people, and so not a lot of people can speak English. Despite this, the staff made every effort to make our stay pleasant

This is one of the few luxury hotels in the resort area for Wuyi Mountain and it did not disappoint. The grounds are vast and beautiful and all the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the resort. We had an amazing holiday dinner at the restaurant and the daily breakfast was fantastic. It had a wide selection of food to suit western and Asian tastes. All the staff were amazing and went out of their way to understand our questions and help us with their limited English. If you are travelling to this area, you'll have to be prepared for the language barrier in all places but it was not an issue. The resort is about a 5 minute taxi ride to the Wuyishan National Park and cost about $3-$5, so don't worry about the resort being a bit off the main strip where all the other hotels are.
