Anything we wanted appeared quickly and was presented enthusiastically. "

"Hotel Mafolie has the most gorgeous view on the island. It’s an old hotel in need of many upgrades, which are in progress. The restaurant and pool bar had been damaged in a storm and are in the process of being rebuilt. The pool is small but perfect to cool off in, surrounded by umbrellas and chaises. There is a continental breakfast served on the restaurant terrace each morning, and it’s satisfying without being fancy. The view overlooking the harbor is amazing. The staff is the highlight...

"As a black female solo traveller, I felt safe when I stayed at this hotel. At the same time, it is a bit old. My bedroom was very clean, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. I would recommend it for a night or two, but no longer. The staff running the business were very kind and helpful. It is a family-run hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend it as a quick stop."

"5 star resort with 2 star service. Some of the wait staff were rude and combative, which is very disappointing considering the price you are paying for drinks and food. Beach and property were amazing. Still had a great time, but likely won't go back. "

"Interesting place to stay, one main pool and a second little one up the private road a bit, lots of wild cats and roosters with their own unique agendas, decent rooms, place took a hit at the last hurricane and whole sections shut down but everyone friendly and would come back. Also, walking distance to both airport and a lovely beach!"
