"Great place to stay. It was clean and all that was promised in the listing. The location was amazing as it is basically on the side of the mountain it this cute village area. Be sure to make certain the road access from Airlo is open! Google maps will take you up to a snow closed road in the winter. Turning around on this narrow road at night is sketchy. "We stayed in Apartment 8 for 4 nights are were delighted with all aspects of it. There was plenty of room with both a sitting and dining area, a reasonable size bathroom and small but adequate kitchen with crockery, cutlery and pots, etc. The unit is close to the centre of town, the lake and the station. There are plenty of eating places nearby, a Coop supermarket and numerous other shops as well as a free book exchange near the rubbish disposal units. The unit had good wifi and the hosts, Urs...

"Locarno City Centre with entire infrastructure in walking distance."

"The apartment is comfortable and the staff was very insistent that the place be cleaned very well before we stay there. Location is good, near the lake. There is no AC but a large fan was provided which was nice."

Because of the snow we suggest you to arrive in Altanca from Deggio (coming from south) or from Piotta (coming from north). Do not take the street that passes through Madrano because there is not a snow service. This is a nice place for the money and the experience! Thanks "
