"Palazzo Cannavina in Campobasso is truly one of the best places to stay when visiting the city and the stunning Molise region. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the service we received—everything was top-notch from beginning to end.
The communication was excellent—quick, helpful responses from the moment we booked. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed with elegant linens, and filled with stunning artwork throughout the building that made every hallway feel like a gallery.
One of the most impressive aspects was the daily housekeeping. Our bed was made each morning and the room tidied—a level of care and attention that seems lost in many American hotels, even at high-end resorts. It was refreshing to feel genuinely taken care of, rather than having to chase down basic customer service. (Yes, Disney—this one’s for you!)
The atmosphere of Palazzo Cannavina was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight—served upon request and beautifully presented, it felt more like being a guest in someone’s refined home than staying in a hotel and with Castello Monforte just steps from your door, you’re quite literally surrounded by history.
Campobasso itself is a hidden gem. The local shopping and dining were charming, with an authenticity that’s hard to find in more tourist-heavy spots. The people of Campobasso are kind, welcoming, and clearly excited to share their city with visitors.

I had the most amazing stay at Dimora Donna Dora. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. It’s clear how much love and care has been poured into this place. The whole property is extremely clean and breakfast was wonderful! The views from the balcony of our room were absolutely breathtaking. Parking was very easy and stress free with a huge lot available right across the property. Our whole experience was exceptional from start to finish, we can’t wait to come back to San Martino and stay at Dimora Donna Dora again! Highly recommend to anyone "
"Everything about this place is perfect, from the views of the countryside, to the pool (with swim flow), Salvatore himself and all the staff. Easy to find, simple and safe to park and a beautiful meal. We’re lucky enough to travel extensively in Europe and this is one of the top few stays we’ve had. "

"Wellness spa at this hotel, staff are accommodating, not much of any other options but the hotel is well located for the view of Bagnoli del Trigno - I would recommend. "
"Refused to stay here. Construction going on, front entrance uneven flooring. Smell musty, afraid might be asbestos. Picture does not show any renovation. "
