Beautiful 15th century villa , with manicured grounds . Restaurant was excellent, but rather expensive . Bfst was excellent. 4 km out of Lucca on Busy highway , so couldnt walk into town . Partially offset by a bus route appropriately 600 meters from property. Enjoyed walks in the countryside. Loved our stay overall !!

The villa is in a quiet village outside of Lucca, ideally to get around you would need a car. We only stayed one night so got taxis to and from the hotel. The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. The rooms are big and airy. The garden and pool are beautiful and it is in a quiet peaceful and relaxing location surrounded by mountains and trees. We would highly recommend staying here if you would like a relaxing tranquil place to stay

Lovely villa with outstanding staff, a fantastic breakfast, and an excellent "outdoor" (glass-enclosed, heated, and probably cooled in summer) restaurant looking into the gardens. Too early in the season for the pool. All-in-all a thoroughly delightful time.

Perhaps this hotel has been recently renovated? It is calm and relaxing, pleasingly renovated and decorated inside and with beautiful gardens. The staff are tremendous. A small plumbing problem was dealt with very quickly - change of room, moved our luggage…just an excellent atmosphere.
