"WOW! This hotel was amazing! After 5 nights, we did not want to leave! The room was stunning, modern and large. Anna was amazing. From check in till we left - nothing was too much hassle. The hotels information guide was packed full of useful and valuable information and recommendations. It was lovely chatting to Anna every morning and afternoon about our travels. "We had an issue on the first night, and the receptionist managed to sorted it all out for us once raised. He was very apologetic for something that was out of their control but we’re grateful that he was able to accommodate. In fact the reception team during our stay were great. If I was to criticise, as we went during a low peak season, some facilities were out of use and the breakfast selections wasn’t as good for a 4* as I would have expected. "Smart hotel in a great location right in the middle of Valletta. Large room and nice breakfast. Unfortunately, our room (101), was right next to the cleaners closet so we were wakened every morning. Room could have done with a comfortable chair. Also, television is restricted to a few Austrian and German channels, not even anything local. The hotel has no outside space, it would have been nice to have somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Having said all that, we really enjoyed our stay."

"Grand Hotel Excelsior is beautiful, elegant hotel not far (5 min walk) from Valletta's City Gate entrance by the Triton Fountain. The location by the water of the bay offers amazing views by day or night. The extra attention by all of the staff was very appreciated as it wasn't overpowering but discreet and gracious. Breakfast is just perfect. Everything is there but I would recommend trying some of the island specialities like Pastizzi and their typical cheese. All in all we had a very comfortable and relaxing staying, feeling that this experience has definitely exceeded our expectations. "

"Mark and his team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we wanted it to be. Mark is very knowledgeable about Malta and helped us with deciding on days out. We booked room 42 with its own terrace and hot tub, which insured we had fantastic views for the NYE fireworks. Complimentary bubbly in the fridge on arrival along with snacks and soft drinks. I dont think we would change a thing. Don't be put off by the location, although very close to some noisy bars, the rooms are very sound proof and they supply earplugs as a back up, although we didn't need them. The bed was so comfortable obe of the best ive slept on and im fussy. They really think of everything you might have forgotten..Complimentary top class toiletries, shaving kit, dental kit, sewing kit, nail file, cotton buds the works. Thank you for such a magnificent stay we will be back 10/10 "
