"We live only a few minutes away in Nanaimo, and I booked a family suite to surprise my wife and daughter on Valentine's Day. My expectations were truly exceeded. The exterior fails to do the Long Lake Inn justice, as the interior is quite obviously recently renovated and exceptionally clean, spacious, and modern. Our daughter falls on the Autism spectrum and it is important for her to have her own space whenever we stay in a hotel. The family suite has a separate bedroom and a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room, so it was perfect for us. It also has a balcony and a fully stocked kitchen, which I used to prepare dinner. The hot tub and sauna are in a small, separate building, which in the winter months is slightly less than ideal, but warm robes are provided in the room, so it was really a non-issue. The spa/sauna building has a cabin feel to it, as it is wooden, which makes it very unique with a nice aroma, and there are change rooms in it, so you can change there, if desired. A continental breakfast is complimentary, which was also a nice touch, and there is coffee/tea, fruit-infused water, snacks (e.g., apples, cookies) available free of charge 24 hours. I was also very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of ALL staff members, both at the front desk and the housekeeping staff - they were all wonderful! We are so happy that we chose to spend our Valentine's Day at the Long Lake Inn, and I strongly recommend it to any prospective future guests!"

"Had a problem with checking in and the room when we first checked in. However after talking with Katy who was front desk supervisor we were upgraded to a suite! It was my birthday so just added to the day. I would recommend this resort to anyone, you will come back!"

"I love the cleanliness and the building is a newer building so very nice stay. It was quiet and provided underground parking so we were comfortable knowing that our vehicle was secure but was in a quiet neighbourhood anyhow so no worries. Very close to Duke Point ferry terminal only 11 mins so no stress for that first ferry and the amenities in the room were very nice as well. Overall we were happy with our stay"
