Conveniently located in Japantown and Japan Village. There is a coffee and breakfast shop on the first floor. The restroom is beautifully remodeled and everything looks brand new. The shower head is a rain shower which is really nice. There is a bidet toilet. There is a snack shop plus a microwave downstairs too. They provide 2 free water bottles and refill coffee and tea everyday after room services. ONE downside is the pillow and mattress not firm enough. It hurts my neck and I had the hardest time sleeping.

I've been coming to the Miyako since 2008 and it's never let me down. Wi-fi is good, rooms are clean, and the washrooms are great. The hotel has a great self-service, 24hr store for anything you need, and a nice Japanese bakery/cafe on the ground floor. The surrounding area is relatively safe for downtown Los Angeles, and its Little Tokyo, so there's plenty of shopping. It's not the same as before covid though, so I hope it recovers.

I stayed here for 1 night and I really didn’t enjoy the stay here. I felt like the staff wasn’t the most welcoming and the hotel wasn’t in the best area. Valet for $45 is ridiculous, there are much nicer hotels that don’t charge that much. I think the way the valet works is very unsafe; they bring the car and park it in the middle of the street for you to come pick up. With LA being a very busy city, it’s very inconvenient for valet to pressure me in the middle of the street to get my car; please note that I had to put many things in my car. The room was average, reminded me of a best western hotel, there wasn’t anything special about this hotel that makes me want to come back again or to recommend this hotel to anyone. The water for the shower was terrible, and it was very short. Anyone who is tall won’t be able to take a proper shower. I felt like the hotel wasn’t welcoming and didn’t greet me with a positive attitude. Even when I checked out, I felt like they were trying to get me out of my room so another guest can come. I get it, you are busy but I think a little more courtesy would be nice. I did leave my MacBook charger and the hotel has not reached out and told me about it. I feel like the hotel overcharged me for 1 night. Felt like this wasn’t the best quality hotel and unwelcoming. Would like to get compensated for the bad experience.

A nice surprise! So convenient to great LT restaurants and shops. Easy parking (I used the lot a few doors down instead of valet). Staff very nice. Room design pretty tired, but the room was big and bed was good. I’d stay again — it’s a good value.

Very convenient to stay for Nisei Week. Great staff and safe. Parking a bit high in price but accessible. Bar and lounge had a cover charge /2drink minimum was the reason for not excellent rating. I feel that that should be waved to the guests. So we did not go in.

The Miyako Hotel is a great place to stay in downtown Los Angeles. It's conveniently located in Little Tokyo, near several museums including MOCA Geffen, JANM and others. Several options for Japanese restaurants and bars are nearby within walking distance.

Loved the reasonable distance to an LA metro stop. Right next to the Japanese Village Plaza, allowing for plenty of shopping and food options specific to Little Tokyo. Maid services were conducted on a daily basis, and facility was overall extremely clean!

I just returned from my second time staying at this hotel and it was another great experience! I love the location, ambiance, and great service here. The proximity to the Japanese Village makes for endless opportunities for food, drinks, and shopping.
