The hotel is on the main street of a pictureque Cornish fishing village and has its own gated car park across the street from the hotel. The narrow street is not noisy because it is 'access only' for cars. The place is clean and tastefully decorated and is run by the friendly owners and their equally friendly staff. No food is offered except a very good breakfast menu which is waitress served. An 'honesty bar' is available. This was our second visit to the Claremont and we would be very happy to stay again if we return to Polperro.

The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was top nosh. Service was spot on and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The lounge was comfortable and they had an honesty bar which was quite well stocked.

Lovely warm hotel
Second visit here, lovely welcoming hotel with a super breakfast and parking right outside which is great for Polperro. Hotel right in the heart of the village , great for the harbour , pubs and eateries . Only downside for us was the room in the attic number 12 , not for us the staff called it the marmite room you either love it or hate it and we were the latter , to much pine a very small toilet next to the bed and dated .

Claremont hotel Polperro Cornwall
We had the room at the top of the hotel, it was on the second floor, up some pretty steep flights and very narrow so it was quite difficult for us. I think that might be better advertised. The breakfast was excellent, you could have whatever you wanted. The terrace at the front is brilliant. The staff are excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The car park opposite is an absolutely great attribute for this hotel. Lots of pubs and eateries within easy walking distance.
