The staff was amazing and were so kind to take such good care of us despite their own hardships when their well went dry. They went above and beyond for all their guests that weekend! A gem of a place.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
The stairs were narrow and steep. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You had to buy breakfast but it was well worth it!! The cost was very affordable and the food was delicious. The staff was always willing to assist in anyway.
Very clean quiet room. They do not offer breakfast. Nobody available in morning for checkout. No elevator to upper floors. About a quarter mile away I was able to hike the ski trails for an invigorating morning hike. I was there just before the skiing started.
Great value and a very comfortable bar and restaurant. Nice folks.

Overnight stay
Nice older hotel right next to the ski mountain. Convenient to have a restaurant and bar in the same building.

The good and the bad
The good: friendly and helpful staff, very pet friendly, good food at the restaurant, well stocked gift/snack shop, comfortable lounge/bar.
The bad: this place is in need of renovations. Cracks and holes in walls, old TVs, steep stairs, no elevator.
I always stay at the Upper Pass Lodge when I'm in the area. The rooms are large, clean and quiet, and the restaurant is great. A nice friendly vibe and great location.
Nice little hotel; the bar and restaurant were cute and had good food.

Liked: Staff & service
We were only there for one night and day…. Although everything is very outdated…. Vince and his crew were lovely. We decided to stay and have some wine and dinner and thank God we did…. Vince works very diligently in his kitchen, and the staff worked just as hard . We had a lovely dinner and some nice wine and when we weren’t sitting around the bar, laughing with the locals, we are in the family room sitting around the fireplace with the locals. This seems to be a spot where people are drawn and it’s very warm and inviting. I’m glad we spent the time there and next day we went hiking all over the place and we were on our way to our next spot. Looking forward to the next time.
Great staff. They went above and beyond for me when I needed something. I will recommend this place to all out of town family and friends!
Thank you very much for making my short stay great
