Once navigating the lanes to reach Tregondale you arrive at a working award winning farm.
Your stay is in one of the beautifully appointed rooms with amazing bathrooms. There is no traffic noise, no sirens no city or town sounds, it's perfect.
You will hear the sounds of a farm however, but the early 'Mooing' and dawn chorus is delightful.
Mervyn and Stephanie are wonderful hosts and were very accommodating of me returning in the early hours due to the late finishes of my shows. Even giving me the option for a later lie in and a later Breakfast.
Breakfast is cooked fresh with the eggs having be laid that morning.
Conversation flows naturally between all the guests and hosts during breakfast as everyone is seated round a single large dining table.
Tregondale has a very relaxed and welcoming feel to it and I suspect many guests return time and again. Also in it's favour is the ability to completely disconnect from the outside world as mobile signal, at least on the EE network, is non existent at Tregondale. Heaven. However if you do want a signal you only need to go to the top of the lane, about a mile away.
Would I recommend Tregondale to others .... YES.
Unless you have a need to be on your phone or other device constantly. But for a few hours each night and morning I'm sure you can be off the grid and cope :-)
