"The property has an excellent location, very close to the beach. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the heated bathroom floors were an unexpected delight. There were however several families with children that made quite a bit of noise. The rooms are close together so it is difficult to prevent this. "The hotel birke is a beautiful hotel in many ways, absolutely 5 star reception area, bar and restaurant. Beautiful furnishings, service and lovely and cosy in the winter with open fire in these shared areas. I had a cosy garret room which was lovely in a lot of ways except for the carpet, which was really very very stained with drops and brown marks, it really needs replacing or a thorough steam clean and was off putting, i did not want to walk on it as it did not feel clean the sheets and...

"Very clean, safe, modern and a great location for Kiel or the ferry. Parking was easy using the Q Park. Would definitely recommend and come again.
