Best place to stay in the Lincoln area. Cool old house, great staff, super-clean rooms. And walking distance to the center of town.
Highly recommended!
It would be nice to have a person readily on site. Also, my room did not have a side table light for reading. The hotel was very cute & vintage. Even though it was a shared bath, it was very clean.
I have been going to this Inn for years . The transformation through the years of the building is amazing. It's beautiful, they are friendly and it's safe. You could not ask for a better place to stay or nicer hosts while you are there.
Best place to stay in Lincoln. Walkable to the lakes. Room and bathroom are cleaner than most fancy hotels I’ve been in. Bed is comfortable. Small town vibe for sure.
The Whitetail is a gem of a little place. We stayed upstairs in the original house with a shared bath in the hall. The room was super cute and comfortable. Both were very clean. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short.
Lovely place. Property does not have ev charger as listed in amenities, but believe thats a expedia error. Found a level 2 at car dealership and property allowed use of outdoor plug as we were almost empty.
Easy check in and checkout. Only gave staff 3 stars because a N.A. wasn’t available- we never saw anyone- keys were left out in envelope for us and we used the key drop on the way out - easy peasy . Location was perfect for our needs. WiFi was weak and we had better LTE but room was clean and warm which was great. It had just snowed the day before but the parking lot was still a bit messy - thankfully we had boots . Plenty of food options near by and appreciated the welcome letter from the hotel outlining local places . Thank you -
This was a one-night stay for us to attend a funeral in a remote area. It was in a good location that offered everything we needed. Room was quiet and large. Bed was firm and while we did sleep all night, it was "crinkly" and super firm. The spider webs that greeted us outside in front of the door were yukky but didn't affect the inside. Towels are terrible. Thin and almost thread bare enough that we used the "bath" towel provided and the hand towel to dry off with. Invest some $ in new towels. Please. We would stay here again if in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property over a late July weekend! I was in a rush and when I booked our room, I picked a queen size bed instead of a king.. no big deal and we spent the first night on the queen bed.. when we woke up we realized that we definitely needed something bigger.. I went to the front desk and rang the bell for service and that’s when I met the owner Glen.. he was so gracious and very willing to accommodate us.. in fact the night before we had the pleasure of meeting his daughter (Leah I believe) at check in.. again so gracious and a pleasure to talk too.. they are a family run business and are doing such great work updating the hotel, it’s absolutely gorgeous what they have done and the rooms are extremely clean.. I have read some negative reviews and I can only come to one conclusion and that is instead of bringing an issue they might have to the owners attention they would just rather not say anything, deal with it for the rest of their stay then write a bad review after the fact.. the owners can’t help you if you don’t bring a problem to their attention.. we plan on coming back to this area of Maine many more times and we will definitely always stay here… safe, clean and quiet!
