Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
We bought our service pup with us and the paperwork of proof. I normally check us in while my husband walks our pup, Luke, because I used to own a little travel agency in Lincoln City, called Lincoln Travel. This time Shawn signed us in and apparently didn't read the small print. I know this for a FACT, Luke was all over that property, so we definitely weren't trying to hide our 21lb dog.
THIS IS THE THING: The HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY is called that in the name of being hospitable. I realize that there are rules for a reason. But I also understand that people at their best, make mistakes. My husband did not make the reservation through Expedia and assumed I handled it. I AM a permanently disabled, Senior Citizen, living on a small budget. A budget that I chose to spend in your establishment. The bottom line is this: We could only afford to stay one night. When you checked us out, you did not say a word. We went straight to the gas station to fuel up and my card wasn't accepted. We immediately turned around & headed back to SurfTides. I explained our situation and Tony reassured us that I would see it back in my acct in 7-10 working days.Tony had charged my card $250 for Luke.The law states that you don't have to announce a service pet. What I do not get is why you would then process my debit card on the 16th, 3 full days after we left?
Oh and there are laws for taking advantage of Seniors, so I have a feeling we will meet again. All you had to do was to keep your word.
