"A bit average for the rate per night. Lock to the upstairs viewing patio was broken and we could go outside to see the view. Safe didn’t open. The resort is running on skeleton staff and limited resources. everyone is always busy and the promises could not be met. Food wasn’t the best. "

"A unique and secluded location set in private reserve; with added advantage of having hosts nearby for attention and customer service. We arrived in the early evening to find a welcome fire/bbq already lit...such a kind gesture! Annie was on-hand to give details of road closures, shopping advice; general comfort chats. The surrounding garden was a delight for bird-lovers; attention to detail in the accommodation perfect combination of lowkey and luxury."

"My daughter and I had the absolute privilege of staying at Ezulwini in August 2024. I first want to acknowledge the amazing and knowledgeable staff who absolutely made our stay. Ange and Craig make quite the team! Glory was accommodating, caring, and personable. "Highly Recommended! We enjoyed our stay in Parsons Hilltop especially when all the staff are very attentive and helpful. The room is clean and bed is super comfortable (hotel standard). "This is a relatively new, undiscovered gem. "Boutique safari experience" is probably the best description, but also felt a great connection with the staff and driver and tracker. Mateo and Robert rocked. We saw SO much. And the food was exceptional. The glamping tents were super,. Lion roars at night. What more do you want?"

"The place is lovely and me and my lady enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the bed, it was not that comfortable, same goes to the pillows, they where big. Oh and board needs some attention because when you walk inside the tent your partner got to wake up because they squicky. But nevertheless I enjoyed it, even proposed and she said yes"

It was most definitely not only the best South African Experience but also the best human experience with all the great times we spent there that made it so special. "Access very poor, the road was in very poor condition, too long a drive (1.5 hours) to get to the Pafuri gate as top access gate closed off, no game in local game reserve, water ran out. Edwin, the camp manager was on his own but did exceptionally well and is an exceptional birder which made the trip worthwhile for us."

"Describtion on Expedia: 5 km from Phalaborwa gate (3min), after searching forever in this area I didn't find any camp or administration center. So I booked a room at Bushveld Terrace, which I can highly recommend! The staff helped me so much to find the Modjadji Camp contrary to the staff from Modjadji, who didn't even answer one of my 7 phone calls or tried to phone me back.!"

"Two double bedrooms, kitchen fridge etc. Also lounge/ dining/hallway. One bathroom/ toilet. Very good shower. Small outdoor space, upper floor studio/ bedroom/ outdoor patio area, though unfurnished. Good off road parking. Secure, passcode to enter. All clean, 2/3* level. Good air con in bedrooms. We only used as base for 3 nights as out exploring. Would recommend. Think there’s a pool, though we didn’t explore. Very secure. The gate code was a bit iffy sometimes. All in all, would definitely stay again, and would recommend. "

"Many years ago, before the infamous conflagration that destroyed part of the hotel, I stayed there. Also, every Sunday, my family and I would indulge in tea/coffee with fresh scones, cream and strawberry jam. The bar, then, was most charming. Thus I found my self back at this hostelry, and even the room seemed like the one I stayed in then. Not much has changed. To many travellers, the rooms (I stayed in a Standard room so I cannot report on others) may seem dated - but they are huge! Also, the bed is fantastic! Firm, with good pillows. I enjoyed dinner in the bar and I don't think it has the same ambience as the old one. In the morning, I enjoyed breakfast in the dining area. Here I sampled the English breakfast - and the serving was large, very large. So, that dispenses with the accommodation and the eating. Now the service. Well, perhaps other establishments should send their staff to Magoebaskloof Hotel for training. From the welcome at check-in, to the service in the bar, to the service at breakfast, I found it all exemplary. This is what we know and understand about South African hospitality. By the way, there was no artifice in the friendly attitudes and actions of the staff; I experienced real warmth. In conclusion: I will return to Magoebaskloof Hotel for the comfort and the views and the hospitality."
