5/5 Excellent
"** Relaxing
** Staff very helpful
** excellent facilities
** simple exit to ski area
We used the Spa for relaxing massage. Leah was such a professional host and I felt great after her massage.
I will be returning to this hotel for sure. 5* hotel and gave a 5* service.
One area that could be better was the menu in the main restaurant. I suggest offering some classic dishes for dinner.
Also a good idea to have salt and pepper on the tables instead of having to keep asking for them.
This wouldn't stop me returning. Beautiful hotel and staff. "

Fantastic location
"I travelled to the Tourotel expecting the worst given a lot of the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised and can only suggest those giving such poor reviews haven't stayed in ski accommodation before or hadn't looked at any of the photos.
Yes it's basic (as are most ski accommodations), but they are well equipped (I've attached the inventory of the 2 bed apartment), and the mountain facing balcony rooms have the best view of any accommodation I've stayed in the alps.
Sheets and towels came in sealed polythene bags, and microwave grill, and kettle were fine as was the drop down dining table.
The half-size bath is pretty standard in French accommodation.
My only issue throughout the whole week was the non stop beeping of the many many skidoos that buzz up and down the slopes right outside the room from 07:00 onwards all day. That isn't a complaint the residence can ever do anything about, and is a result of being so close to the slopes (you can't have it all ways). Not noticed the sheer numbers of skidoos in other resorts before, but then haven't had a room fronting the main piste in quite the same way so not sure if it's a Val Thorens specific problem or not."
