A fantastic hotel

Check in is a little slow, and the hotel design is quirky, but fun. The roof top terrace is wonderful, and the location is convenient to anywhere in the city. Breakfast is the best that I have had in Germany, but they need to speed up the coffee service.

Perfect industrial modern Christmas Market getaway

Absolutely perfect for my family (2 adults, 2 kids) for our 2-night stay in December. We loved the location (short walk from Leipzig Hbf), on an S-Bahn stop (Augustus-Platz), across the street from the best Christmas Market in Germany (in my biased opinion!). Kids loved the bunk beds in their own mini-room; we loved our separate bed across the living room. Beds were incredibly comfortable—kids slept in until 10am one morning!! (They usually rise at 6am). The hotel has a fun, industrial modern vibe. Everything was clean and in excellent repair.

Bad pressure and bad smell in the shower, room was very simple considering the price, ugly marks on the floor from the furniture and bad noice cancellation. Great view, comfortable bed and we appreciated the complementary soft drinks.

Good location, close to the city center

Great location, 5 minutes to the Christmas Market and 10 minutes from the main train station! We had a tiny room, with a little kitchen and a modern bathroom. We had some drinks for free in our minibar, which was very nice! We could not make the check-in until 3 o'clock.

Funky and hip. Close to Christmas Markets by foot. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable and quirky cool in decoration. The hotel is a bit hard to find as there isn’t large signage, lobby on 6th floor.

Fabulous room, rude staff.

I loved the style of the hotel. Our room (Suite M) was huge and had a beautiful view of Augustusplatz and the opera house. The little kitchen was useful and we made breakfast ourselves every morning. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning very effective. As other reviews note, there is some noise from the trams outside, more of a low rumble as the double glazing is very effective. I also noticed a strange buzzing sound in the room which I couldn’t locate, it did cause some disturbance. What let the hotel down was check-in and check-out. The staff tried to charge me for my stay, even though I paid in advance via hotels.com. On check out, the receptionist asked for my room number, then very rudely proceeded to tell me that it was incorrect. I’m sorry, what?! I’ve just been staying in the room for 3 nights, I think I know what number it is. He argued that it was wrong and eventually I just had to leave. Such a shame as we had enjoyed our stay. I’d recommend the place for adventurous and low-maintenance guests who are happy to fend for themselves. If you want a good service experience, then this isn’t the hotel for you.
